At a hardware store, I had either side of a piece of denim chromatically analyzed by a digital scanner (this is the same tool used for domestic and commercial color matching applications). I then stretched this denim over a series of wooden frames and painted them exclusively with these two colors. Each picture emerged gradually out of the denim support.
